So I'm a big baby! I watched This Is Us last year and bawled my eyes out with half of America. But I chickened out on the last episode and never. watched. it. I never finished the season because I thought it would be too sad. When creating this project I thought I better just do it so I could start season 2. It wasn't bad at all and I THOUGHT I was ready for season two...
I got this new die by Momenta at Hobby Lobby. I was playing around with it on regular card stock when I got the idea...I wonder if it would cut through the burlap card stock I've had laying around but didn't know what to do with. Can I just tell you it came together like a dream! I had to supplement some corners with scissors but it cut through and folded just fine and the box stays closed better than with regular card stock because of the texture.
Speaking of texture, I LOVE the texture of the box, it totally takes it to the next level! I used Multi Medium Matte to glue the box together. I had a little bit of the ribbon from the April 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit and used it to tie around the box. I used one of the leaf sets I created from the September Paper Pumpkin kit and they went together just perfectly!
If you haven't heard of Stampin' Up!'s Paper Pumpkins, check them out here. It is seriously like your birthday each month. I skip to the mailbox when I think it's going to be there. They are project kits that have all the stamps, inks, paper, and supplies you need to create the design they feature. I always make a couple of the featured designs and then come up with some alternative designs as well (see below more from the August 2016 Paper Pumpkin). I haven't been subscribed for very long but they do give you the option when you sign up to purchase past kits they still have in stock (which is how I received a 2016 kit). Oh, and they are just $19.95 a month!! You'll love it and I have the best demonstrator if you want to subscribe!
I apologize for this extremely long post but I wanted to share a card I made with supplies from the August 2016 Paper Pumpkin and this month's kit. I used the stock and "For You" stamp from the August kit (Early Espresso base and ink). I added a bit of ribbon from the past kit and used one of the leaf arrangements from the September kit.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin project. It has been uncharacteristically in the low 90s where I live so these projects were a nice taste of fall!
