This card for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge MFTWSC367 was so fun to make! The Papertrey Ink Make It Market Kit: Shakers + Sprinkles makes shaker cards easy peasy. I used the rectangle frame die and double-sided foam adhesive to cut the frame.
I had originally planned to stamp the "throw" part of the sentiment directly onto the acetate but got carried away making my shaker and forgot all about it.
I didn't want a large block of patterned paper behind the confetti, I thought it would be too busy. Then I had the idea to use vellum and just subdue the polka dot background. I love how it turned out and it helped the shaker pieces shake about a little easier. The confetti I die-cut from the Shakers + Sprinkles dies then added a few other sequins and such I had in my stash.
In the photo, the Kindness looks black but it's actually die-cut from My Favorite Things Steel Grey stock. I really love their stock. It's nice and thick so it cuts really well but it also has just a tiny bit of texture to it that I really like. I bought this die to make random acts of kindness cards but hadn't had a chance to use it yet until this challenge. I cut it twice from the grey and then backed it with another white die-cut to make it pop a little more.
I used the Stitched Sentiments Strips Die-Namics to cut the rest of the sentiment which I typed on the We R Memory Keepers Typecast typewriter that I gifted to myself for Christmas! I'm loving that thing! So quick and easy.
I stole the Give Much from the patterned paper pad that I used on the card base and edged it with a little washi tape.
Thanks for checking out my project for the MTFWSC367 Sketch Challenge!
